BeamNG's graphics have also gotten a bit better in the past 3 years, because of the many updates the developers continue to put into the game to this day. It is incredible what a small indie firm can accomplish with enough time, passion, and effort! This is why of all of my games on steam, I have the most hours in BeamNG.

Race driver grid also has a cool car damage system

Driveclub always gets it. I think it's a pretty realistic sim but you MUST turn off ALL assists. I figured this out after a long time of playing it in VR- there is a basic menu for assists and then you must go deeper into the settings to find more assists you can turn off. After you turn off all assists it's definitely is a legit sim. Sadly, I don't think many ever went that deep into the settings so it gets remembered as more arcade-like.

Tried all kinds of views on racing sims that offer the option. But I keep going back to Bumper View. That's how I played racing games as a kid in the Arcades. Games such as Hard Driven, Daytona USA, and Rigid Racer, to name a few. I'm going to be 50 next year! Thanks for this!!!

For me In a racing game, sounds are more important than the graphics

I think you forgot one more thing on why you should avoid braking late: getting out of the track. If you brake late, you’ll get out of the track and yeah.

Project cars was a dissapointment in the realisim department, but man is it a phenomenal game to play. It’s like grid but better in every way. I would totally recommend project cars 4 to anybody who’s looking for a casual racing game.

Drifting should never be faster. If your front tyres are countersteered, then the total cornering force into the corner is limited to the rear tyres only which means, less cornering force total and thus lower speed carrying potential.

I don't agree with many of your ratings. I think breaking down the rating into a standard set of metrics is the only way to do this right. I propose the following metrics: - Sample Audio Accuracy: the actual recorded sound file, and whether or not it matches the car - Relational Volume: does the engine sound as loud as it does in real life in relation to other sounds, like the road, transmission, shifting, differential, etc. - RPM pattern: does the game properly simulate the curvature and oscillations of the RPM when producing the sounds? - Shifting: does the game take the type of transmission into account, like shifting slower on a manual, and the winding of a sequential? Does it have the proper shifting sounds? - Rev Limiter: Does the game produce the correct sound when at max RPM? - Crackles/Burbles: Does the game make the burbles at the proper time and for the correct amount? - Blind Test: How difficult is it for an automotive enthusiast to tell apart the game sound from the real sound? - Front vs Back: How accurately does the game simulate the difference of sound from the front and the back? - Low RPM: How accurate is the sound at low RPM? This is a big weak point for many games. - Other sounds: Suspension, brakes, doors, etc. Based on these 10 criteria, one can product a 0-100 rating that's more universal than simply using a gut feeling.

there's still a long way to go until i believe you learned english in school , but besides that another cool video , beam had to be no.1 but you , forgot it even has engine debugging where you can see how internal parts of the engine fail like lubrication etc.
